The Hole in One is a 3-day, 2-night curated Wild Coast escape based around Coffee Bay and the legendary Hole in the Wall. Designed for groups of 20 to 50 guests, this experience blends scenic coastal adventure with warm local hospitality, curated stays, wild dining, cultural entertainment, and an unforgettable open-vehicle day trip to one of South Africa’s most iconic natural landmarks.
Guests can expect dramatic ocean views, rolling green hills, traditional village landscapes, and a relaxed itinerary that captures the spirit of the Wild Coast. The highlight is the guided open-vehicle journey from Coffee Bay to Hole in the Wall, where rugged tracks, storytelling, photo stops, and coastal scenery build up to the famous rock arch and its powerful natural setting.

Itinerary
Day 1

Free time
Enjoy some relaxed time to explore Coffee Bay at your own pace. Visit one of the local restaurants, cafés, or bars such as Sugarloaf II, Rock Coffee, Coffee Shack, Coram Deo, or the well-known White Clay, each offering its own taste of Wild Coast hospitality. If you have a sweet tooth, stop by Michelle’s Shakes and Bakes for a milkshake or treat, or simply unwind on one of the nearby beaches and soak up the coastal atmosphere.

Free time
Enjoy a relaxed afternoon at your own pace after arrival. Take time to settle in, explore the local restaurants and bars, or wander through Coffee Bay’s laid-back village atmosphere. For something sweet, stop by Shakes and Bakes for one of their popular milkshakes before the evening programme begins.

Complimentary arrival drinks
Ease into the Wild Coast atmosphere with complimentary arrival drinks at the forest bar, tucked deep among the trees. This relaxed welcome moment gives guests time to settle in, connect with the group, and enjoy the natural surroundings before the evening’s programme begins.

Drumming
Enjoy an energetic live drumming session with talented drummers from Mdumbi, bringing the rhythms and spirit of the Wild Coast to your group. Guests can relax and enjoy the performance or join in for a hands-on drumming experience, making it a lively and memorable way to connect through music.

Wild Feast of the Forest
As evening settles over Coffee Bay, guests are welcomed into a tranquil forest setting transformed with fairy lights, artistic décor, and a warm Wild Coast atmosphere. This curated dining experience brings the group together for a generous “wild feast” inspired by local flavours, seasonal ingredients, and relaxed communal hospitality. Surrounded by trees, soft lighting, and natural textures, it is an atmospheric start to the journey — ideal for connection, conversation, and celebrating the spirit of the coast.

Entertainment - Traditional Xhosa Dancing
An early evening cultural performance brings the spirit of the Wild Coast to life with traditional Xhosa dancing, music, and storytelling. Set within the relaxed group atmosphere of Coffee Bay, this curated entertainment moment offers guests an authentic sense of local heritage during the evening’s dining experience.
Day 2

Bomvu Breakfast
Start the day with a relaxed Bomvu Breakfast served from 08:00 to 09:30, weather permitting, on the beach near Coffee Bay. This curated group breakfast pairs fresh coastal air and Wild Coast scenery with warm hospitality before the day’s journey towards Hole in the Wall.

Hole In the Wall
Depart Coffee Bay in an open vehicle for a scenic guided excursion to the iconic Hole in the Wall, travelling through the rugged landscapes and coastal villages of the Wild Coast. On arrival, explore the famous rock arch and visit the Devil’s Toilet Bowl, with time to swim in the natural tidal area and enjoy kayaking, conditions permitting. For the more adventurous, you can dare the tidal gully jump. What a rush! A relaxed picnic lunch will be served on site, complemented by open bar facilities, before departing back to base camp at 14:00.

Available for groups of 20–50 guests and subject to campsite availability, travel dates, and final proposal confirmation.
Backpackers
R3,000.00Backpackers accommodation is ideal for groups wanting a comfortable, social Wild Coast experience with added convenience while keeping the trip budget-friendly. This option includes 2 nights in backpacker-style accommodation, all meals, curated group dining, cultural entertainment, return transport to Hole in the Wall, the guided open-vehicle excursion, scenic stops, and on-the-ground coordination. Subject to availability, final group size, room configuration, travel dates, and confirmed supplier arrangements.
Self Catering
R4,800.00Best for groups wanting a more comfortable stay with extra privacy and flexibility. This option includes 2 nights in self-catering style accommodation, all meals, the guided open-vehicle excursion to Hole in the Wall, return local transport, scenic stops, curated dining, cultural entertainment, and on-the-ground coordination. From R4,800 per person, subject to availability, final group size, rooming configuration, travel dates, and confirmed proposal.
